Remember when nikkas were hyping up Cleveland's goat offense when they were smashing trash teams like Toronto and Boston :mjlol:

nikka didn't want no static with the Bullets

shyt would've easily gone 6/7

A terrible precedent was set years ago when Miami started this superteam nonsense. Now we are where we are. In the grand scheme of things, is this really good for the game?

Steph getting lit. :russ::russ::russ::russ::russ::russ::russ:

“That looks delicious, by the way, Steph,” Thompson joked.

But there is a story behind that cigar. This wasn’t a typical cigar, but rather Curry had been waiting quite a while to smoke it. That particular cigar was meant for the 2016 NBA Finals before the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead. But instead of throwing the cursed cigar away, Curry saved it.

He explained why on NBA TV:

“The backstory is after Game 7 last year, I told one of my close friends to save this for a year from now to be able to enjoy the process and journey. I’ve been waiting a whole year to smoke this.”

Curry added that he was going to enjoy every bit of that cigar. As he should — he was smoking away the lasting reminder of the Warriors’ 3-1 lead.

Steph took his rightful position as a #2.
It's strange where this narrative has come from. Curry isn't a #2 (certainly not his "rightful" position at all), and neither is Durant. Curry led the regular season and the postseason as his team's leading scorer (up until Game 4 of the Finals) and main facilitator. They're pretty much a two-headed monster, where depending on the matchup, scheme and rhythm in a series - one breathes a bit more fire than the other.

The Cavs pretty much centered their defense around Curry (trapping and keeping 2-3 players in his vicinity almost all of the time) and forced the ball out of his hands, Durant just capitalized on that.

The game swung on the Durant no call. The ref swallowed his whistle on an obvious foul when LeBron dunked on him. That spurred the run.

Oh well. fukk the NBA.

I'm happy for Kevin Durant. It was bigger than just the championship. THIS is the higher level of high IQ & unselfish basketball he deserved

True story I bet Cleveland + 10 (-125) tonight. I appreciate Earl Joseph Smith for that last second 3 pointer for the backdoor cover.

He never would have maximized his greatness in that OKC "system" with Russ as a running mate. Wasn't happening.

Well said... except the last line... ANYBODY but these guys :smh: lol

But as I said earlier, the ONLY one I think you gotta worry about is Steph. Not Klay. Everybody else seems good.

that insistence by Steph on having the ball at the end of the game and the deliberateness of jacking up two unnecessary 3's (one that hit the top of the backboard) in the final minute and a half in such a grandstanding manner says a lot to me...

.
Look at this nikka here. :russ:

The crown was snatched with that 3 in game 3. Everything else was just prolonging the inevitable. It's KD's league now. Only question is where was this last year? Don't tell me about spacing, dude was knocking nikkas eyes out with 30 footers all series long. shyt is now more perplexing than Bron in 2011. At least there was a rhyme and reason for that.

I gotta admit I was wrong. I thought he was glomming onto the Warriors to be a rich man's coat tail rider. It appears it was the other way around. They needed him to be the team that they were purported to be before he arrived. They lose this series with Bogut and Barnes and co. They don't even make it this far, depending on injuries. Meanwhile if he plays like this the whole time, he just might have back to back rings and MVPs.

As far as the series goes, this was kinda like the inverse of 2012. You had one guy reaching his apex and another guy that isn't quite there (except he's on the decline). Bron put up numbers but couldn't match KDs impact and KD made all the big plays. Opposite was true in 2012. Steph took his rightful position as a #2. He may be a GOAT candidate for that spot. KD's presence put everyone in their best spot. Only thing that will stop these Warriors is injury or ego. I'd actually like to see a team win 4 or 5 straight chips in my lifetime.
So they would lose another 3-1 lead:jbhmm:
