This is gonna be the Canadian version of the Red Sox coming back from 0-3 against the Yankees in '04 if they break the Cup drought like this.
Oilers have figured out the panthers since the third period of game 3. They got better from game to game. The longer the series goes on, the oilers will have the advantage. They adapted to the panthers’ peculiarities and are wearing them out with their energy, fresher legs, intensity, opportunity aggressive speed and elite skill. Oilers powerplay become lethal and powerful again. The oilers penalty kill has been solid. And the panthers special teams (powerplay and penalty kill) have been trash and they’re taking too much penalties(indiscipline)
Truth to be told, the Edmonton oilers could have easily won game 1 but bobrovsky robbed them so many times. They had plenty of scoring opportunities in that game.
You can’t completely shutdown both Drsisaitl and McDavid in an entire playoff series. The gameplan to shutdown them doesn’t exist yet. Panthers were lucky Draisaitl didn’t do much in the first 5 games of the finals and was scoreless until tonight. Draisaitl is waking up and playing well tonight and I expect him to have a dominant performance in game 7. He’s more than due.
