That $$ can just be reinvested into what they have. That way if you do strike on 2-3 players you draft, you can pay them, avoid the tax, and fill in accordingly. Instead of overpaying for Corey Brewer, draft a 2nd rounder, sign him to a 3 year deal and watch him develop.

If we are able to get Love without giving Wiggins I don't think I can hate on it...Waiters and Bennet have potential and we have a few extra picks..and may be willing to take Kevin Martin...

Player development issues have been around since before his first stint here. Flip can do something to change that, but ultimately ownership gotta demand it.

You won't regret dealing these guys for Love. Waiters and Bennett will haunt us more than they'll ever haunt the Cavs. Wiggins is by no means a slam dunk either. You're trading rotten pizza ingredients to someone who can't cook for a Dominos large pie out of the oven. If Waiters and Bennett are so good, keep em. Otherwise you're dealing a productive expiring for 2 generally non productive players who won't be off the books because a GM gotta save face

Your right...also keep in mind I have never been aboard the get Love bandwagon I rather have the players we have as I think they can develop...I could be wrong but I liked what I saw from Bennet and Wiggins...I'm not a fan of Keeping waiters and packaging him with a pick for a center.

He needs to tell the team. He hasn't spoken to them since the season ended. Had he demanded a trade he woulda been gone a whole ago because that's how they do

The point of this deal is not keep Wiggins. That's what you all on the outside are not getting. The Cavs like Dion and skill set next to LeBron better than Wiggins.

Wiggins can not shoot and is not developed enough physically to play his true position yet, which is a hybrid PF.

Wiggins was always on the table to be traded from Day 1. This trade has been done for like week. Cavs have no problem giving up Wiggins to get Love, in fact its preferable over moving Waiters.

Do you all want for further explanation of this? Trade would have been officially announced but the Cavs needed to find a deal to match the salaries and this hiccup with this 30 day no trade window after Wiggins signs gave the Cavs & Wolves plenty of time to appear like they're 'sitting' on the deal.

Local reports said Kevin Love was in Cleveland last week. Wiggins more than likely knows he's out, and he posted that on social media saying so.
