If they fold on trading Wiggins, they will fold on trading whoever else the Wolves want, because the underlying theme is "You have to get Love!" and it appears to be at all costs.

You simply want them to trade players you don't like and then play hardball and retain the guys you do like (Waiters) while getting back another asset in return (Dieng).

Exactly...Waiters or Thompson and Bennet have to be a part of it along with Wiggins...Most likely they'd want Waiters.

Come on fam, that dude won't see a penny of that, he's getting traded and released the second that contract kicks in.

See I thought it was for this year...As soon as that contract kicks in he will be traded and waived like Malta said...If it was this year It would help us get Love with the quickness...

SA was able to come at the Heat in flurries because of their depth. They'd could keep it cranking no matter who was on the court.

I will take depth, shooting, coaching, defense, youth, athleticism, and experience over having 3 stars (especially Irving and Love who are inept defensively) any day of the week.

So you're gonna ignore how titles have been won throughout history and pretend the spurs way this year which was the first time a team won a title that way is the norm?

It's many different ways to build a winner and weve seen them all. From the Showtime Lakers, to the Bad Boy Pistons, to the mix of Celtics, to the star led dynasty, to the big men era....Only era that hasn't one it all is the PG led teams.

What championship has ever been won in the modern era when 2 out of the 3 top three players are completely inept defensively?

That was actually the norm until the 1 star per team era started in the 90's. Before that you could have 3 or 4 stars AND depth. Now you pretty much have to choose.
Mavs with dirk and terry :mjpls:

Who were the 3 max players?

Some good debate in here :whew:

I'll say it again, they should fill out the rest of the roster with shooters and a budget rim protector and ride it out. Wait for Minny to go to them. The Cavs are already top 3 in the east by virtue of Lebron. Nothing needs to be done right away (re: this offseason) because they have assets and roster flexibility without another big contract on the books.

It's tough to preach patience when Lebron only signed a 2 year contract and everyone is paranoid but the Cavs shouldn't handcuff themselves right away by trading Wiggins, affordable rookie contracts & 1sts.

They really do not need to run out and get Kevin Love. They need a backup point guard (he'll prolly end up starting almost as many games as IKnyrie, and a big man. They should keep the young nucleus they have and see how some of that talent develops. They have the best player in the world on the team. Although Kevin Love would be a great big to have, it would be silly to relinquish all that possible talent for him.

If anything, I would trade IKnjyrie Irving with someone else, plus a pick in exchange for Rubio and Love though. Thats the only way I go trade for Love.

I know I prolly sound crazy.

They have a backup PG in Dellavedova.

Yeh I saw him play last night on TV. He looked decent actually. That was my first time seeing him.

There's him, and you could have Waiters run point off the bench if you could get him to buy in to what they wanna do. I feel like if the team is winning he'll be fine with his role.
