The east might be weak but you still have to play the west in the finals. Plus you still have to guard bigs and guard wing players. The reason Lebron just lost the finals is because the heat couldn't guard Duncan and the Spur wing players. Unless waiters is gonna become a dominant defender that can guard multiple wing players and triston can grow and become a dominant defensive big man. Lebron will be stuck trying to guard everyone on the court like he was in Miami the last two years as Wade began to break down.

The Spurs exploited Miami's team defense philosophy in their undersized trapping rather than individual match ups. Also the 2014 Heat were worse defensively than previous teams. The Cavaliers as projected will be playing bigger in a more traditional fashion. It's gonna be Blatt's job to establish a defensive system and get guys to buy in. Team defense is more important than supposed isolated stoppers :ehh:

Oh no doubt they did abuse it with the trapping but the fact wade and charmers could not guard any of the spurs Pgs caused the main issues. Lebron would then have to guard the PGs and then Leonard would go off. When wade was healthy this wasn't a problem because he could guard a great wing player and Lebron could rest until maybe the 4th then guard the best player. Battier would also help out and guard the best wing players to give lebron a breather. But once wade and battier were long in the tooth they couldn't give Lebron the help defensively.

Now playing big will help but with Love being such a poor defender they need a dominant defender at the 5. You have to have a rim protector to win in the NBA if you don't then you need great individual defensers who can switch and guard multiple positions. This is what the Heat had with wade Lebron and Bosh. Now I am not saying that the Cavs will never win a rin. I am saying that Lebron could probably win multiple rings if they could get a dominant defending young wing who can guard multiple positions and do the dirty work for Lebron instead of having Love. Basically I am saying in order for Lebron to get his multiple rings in Cleveland he needs a young Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, Kwahi Leonard, young Michael cooper or young Robert Horry to guard the best offensive players in the game come playoff time.

The Coli was right again.

LeBron feeling himself a little too much by playing GM in NBA 2K all these years. I bet dude puts Jordan on his team as well.

Yeah, the way it's looking the Cavs are going to have to win the title in the next few years to justify this shyt.

Good thing LeBron understand this will be a process :troll:

I’m not promising a championship. I know how hard that is to deliver. We’re not ready right now. No way. Of course, I want to win next year, but I’m realistic. It will be a long process, much longer than it was in 2010. My patience will get tested. I know that. I’m going into a situation with a young team and a new coach. I will be the old head. But I get a thrill out of bringing a group together and helping them reach a place they didn’t know they could go. I see myself as a mentor now and I’m excited to lead some of these talented young guys.

Well that was the point of the trade anyway. If they win a title it won't matter if Wiggins lives up to the hype or not because the Cavs would've achieved their goal.
You thought you had a winner with this post

I still think Love's a great player, he's just in a shytty situation right now :manny:

Yeah I think the Cavs ALWAYS had to win the championship for it all to be worthwhile.

If Love leaves after this season and Wiggins becomes a multiple time all-star :dead:

They're going to have the best offense in the league after the ASB, only SA will have a chance of being better IMO, Blatts system with these players and their skillsets being what they are it's going to be impossible to stop. They have 3 guys in Waiters, Kyrie and LeBron that can go off the dribble and all 3 of them shot over 35% from 3.

If they get Mozgov or Koufos @ the 5 they are going to have great chance at winning the title next year. They're more of a complete team than the Heat were when that team was put together.

Their offense is going to be pretty much unstoppable.

:pachaha: malta went from ultimate dikkriding to now saying the cavs would be lucky to get out the 1st round :wow: the heel turn

So we gonna act like Cleveland hasn't been dysfunctional so far this year? Like they haven't been a team that lacks chemistry and lacks identity?:comeon:

I guess shytty situation was a poor choice of words. But the transition hasn't been easy at all. Love's having a down year but I'm not gonna overreact like a lot of other people on this site

The Cavs don't run Blatt's system right now though its one iso after the next. What we saw in preseason was really promising.

They had the 2nd best offense in the league when they were using Blatts system.....who would have guessed they wouldn't listen to their coach at all.

Ultimate dikkriding yet I'm one of the 169 people who voted for them not to trade Wiggins and argued against it for about 20 pages :dead:

We gonna act like Love hasn't played a huge part in that? Love is one of the biggest reasons Cleveland has been so average.
