How are they essentially the same team? The only players that were on the team for that series are Rose, Noah & Gibson.

Same core of players...add in Gasol and Thibs coaching philosophy they're better. But the Cavs are MUCH better now and they tossed the Bulls in the bushes in 5 without any of this firepower they got now....Mike Brown was running the show then and he couldn't coach for shyt. Something to think about.

And the Cavaliers can still bring Waiters/Thompson off the bench :whew:

With the way Kevin Love shoots the 3 ball at a high clip don't be surprised if he averages 22-12 as the 2nd option. Irving will probably play a more traditional PG role and average 18-20 PPG as the close 3rd wheel :ehh:

Ok you're talking about the 2010 playoffs, I thought you were talking about 2011.

How are the Cavs much better but the Bulls essentially the same? The Cavs had the best record in the league that year and the Bulls were a 41 win team that barely made the playoffs. Healthy Rose is much better now than he was then, Noah is much better now, Gibson is much better now, Thibs is a hell of an upgrade over Vinny Del Negro. The core around Rose & Noah is a lot better.

Both teams have changed a lot since then, I don't see the point in using that series as a reference. And btw Rose averaged 27 points on 46% shooting during that series, I don't think LeBron shut down anything.

Cleveland made the right move. I still believe the Bulls are better if Rose can stay hea...if God intervenes this season
