If I told you a year ago that the Cavs would sign Kyrie to a max contract, sign LeBron, draft Wiggins, and would be in prime position to trade for Kevin Love you'd have the same reaction you have right now.

You don't know how the year will play out or what will happen.

And there have been numerous stories written about the absolutely improbable luck it took for all of that to happen. Hell you sounding like a Laker fan with the wishing going on in that post. Miami is a likely playoff team next year and Cleveland is a playoff lock so those draft picks aren't going to be worth shyt. Expirings have nearly no value at this point as every year we see teams touting the expirings they have and rarely end up trading them. Teams aren't just going to trade serviceable two-way bigs for some bullshyt unless they are in full on tank mode.

Again, you don't know the future breh.

That's not my wish list.

What I posted to him were examples of contracts that would match. Period.

Like I've already mentioned Love is excellent in the post. LeBron can play in the post.

Love is also an excellent passer. Something the Cavaliers have never had in the front court.

Irving, Waiters, and LeBron are all good to great ball handlers that can penetrate a defense and finish at the rim.

They have shooters to space the floor. They'll have 3 of the best rebounders in the league in Varejao, Love, and Thompson.

They have perimeter defense. The only thing missing is an interior defender and there are still a handful of those left in free agency that they can kick the tires on for a year.
Love can't pass. I will vehemently disagree with you here. If it's not an outlet pass, all you gotta do is run towards him and he gets jittery with the rock.

Limit Love to 2 outlets a night and that's it. Lower his usage rate and he'll be golden. Part of Minny's problem last year was that Rick didn't trust Rubio so he had Love out there like he was prime KG. It makes his stats look great (which is why he never bytched about Adelman) but it kills any semblance of an offense,

I swear I've seen him feed teammates cutting to the basket on several separate occasions

In dude's defense though it's a percentage of the cap at the time of you signing. So say in two years if the cap jumps up an extra 10 million that won't affect Wall's contract at all as his numbers are locked in already. That's the reason Lebron did his contract the way he did. That way if there is a huge cap jump then he can sign long term at a much higher number. Which Lebron is elgible for 35% of the cap so there won't be much room around him either way.

Nope wall was suppose to get 14 million this coming year and due to the massive increase in the cap his pay will now be 15 million
[QUOTE
  • John Wall's deal is technically for 25 percent of the cap (technically technically slightly less per footnote 2 here, but you get the point). The dollar figure listed is based on the 2013 cap number, but as noted previously, the cap is rising significantly this year and will likely rise in the future. Wall's contract, in turn, will rise slightly with it, giving the Wizards a little less space.

Kevin Love isn't a championship caliber basketball player.

Cavs will go deep in the playoffs but won't win. People will say it's the players around Lebron....but clearly Lebron is puling the strings to get the players around him. But no one will blame Lebron. Check his $tats. smh

He spoon fed Brewer a lot of baskets (why we're not trying to give him away I'll never understand). Martin was also assisted on a lot but he needed everyone to get him the rock. His ast rate spiked from 12% to 21% in 1 year. That has to do with how he was used
