AZ had better flow, always liked Nas verse better though. It's more personal than AZ's. Plus him referencing San Quentin was weird.

I'd say better cuz Jay seems more self involved. Basic emcee shyt. I'm better than you and here's why.

Nas tends to drift off into more substantive topics (depending in your mind state) and it tends to take away from his ability to do the straight braggadocio thing.

I ain't saying all that but it was far from "brilliant". Nas gets credit for a lot of filler on his rhymes. His flow covers up some holes in his lyricism in my opinion. There was another thread talking about how a Nas verse was a perfect rhyme and all I could was chuckle because it constrained so much filler. Here's an example of what I mean:

"Got rhymes 365 days annual plus some, load up a mic and bust one cuss while I puss from"

The fukk does the bolded even mean? That whole stanza of bars is filler but people act like its so crazy lyrically.
