I really hate TD's interface especially when buying shyt I put in an order to purchase shares of $TMGI and its still hovering as open...

I hear you...Also to add I think another reason why TD's orders are hovering is because they get a cut off anything you purchase in these trades...
fukking annoying...It happens usually when the the stock you're picking is moving quickly, they wait until it lands in the margin you bought it at, if that doesn't happen they'll cancel it.
