:whoa:

I wouldn't buy this car for several reasons. The 1st being it's a 2011 with 43k on it. I bought my 07 last year with less miles than that and any car that's being driven 20k+ a year dramatically increases the risk of the previous owner not servicing the car properly. 2 it's a N55 engine and the N54 is a far superior platform to the N55. It was literally just discovered this weekend that the Alpina B3 transmission settings can be flashed onto any N54 made after 3/07......:blessed: This mitigates the weaknesses of the stock transmission since Alpina's transmission settings were engineered for a car with over 400 hp unlike the stock BMW programming. This is going to be a big year for the N54 335's.

Say Wha?

I need this in my life. Just the other day I was thinking like "damn I wish I would've went with an newer 335is so I could keep my N54 but get DCT instead of step.

Just ordered my IPNA USB cable...Glad I came across this..:obama:

Do you have any coding experience breh? I don't and I have already seen where at least 2 people on the bmw boards have fukked up the flash making their car temporarily inoperable. :merchant: So I will be chilling until I find someone experienced to handle this for me.

There are some pretty detailed DIYs on the subject so I was going to take a stab at it. From what I have read it is a process that requires no mistakes.

This if from guys accidentally moving the usb during the process, leaving the room while the program "does its thing", replacing the wrong file without making a backup before editing. All of these are errors that can be avoided.

So by next week I'll either be back here like :win: or :damn:

Ordering Cobb AP next week. Might do a FMIC later this year.

Also, there's nothing wrong with an '11 unless you are planning to mod it heavily.

Why aren't you taking care of your car bro?

Exactly. The only thing he mentioned that might actually be a problem is the steering issue, everything else is basic car maintenance...I bet he goes to the dealer to replace the bulb for his daytime running light...:russ:

Leaks aren't basic car maintenance. These things have transmission and main seal leaks. Just a problem waiting to happen. :shaq2:

The Alpina Flash is everything they said it would be and more....The transmission shifts flawlessly amd smoothly no matter how hard you mash the gas peddle...The lurches and slight lag in the stock programming is completely gone...
