The I in Team
I didn't read the thread in order to avoid my post being tainted by any posts. I think the issue is and always will be trust. We don't think we have each other's best interest at heart. For whatever reason our first impulse with another brother is "what's the con?". You just default to thinking a nikka trying to rip you off.

I can't say if the story true, but I remember hearing years ago how Berry Gordy approached Bob Johnson to form a multimedia conglomerate. Made sense Berry Gordy has the music empire and Bob had the TV. Together they would be a force to be reckoned with. Bob Johnson looked at him like "You think I made it this far to have some nikka fukk it up?:rudy:".

Therein the problem lies. I would even go as far to say that the issue lies predominantly among African Americans, if we look at it from an ethnic group standpoint. Cooperative economics has been embraced among the diaspora but not as much within the African American community. Maybe it's because we are not a community, per se, as much as descendants of sharecroppers who were forced into sub standard living conditions by housing and economic discrimination.

We were forced into difficulty economic conditions and indoctrinated with the lies that we were violent and inferior. How after being fed that for so many years just start building and growing. 350 years of lies don't get fixed immediately with 50 years of so called freedom. Focus on the red pills I say, because this war has a lot of battles and we don't have time to save everyone.

WE can't keep ooperating on this fear though and having that stop us from doing what everyone else does in this country. Start businesses and employ our own. Why is it black people are so scared to put black people first?
Idk.

I don't know what kinda business I could start though.

The only way I know how to get money is rap or sports.

Blame the media not showing enough alternative examples
Breh its not always about coming up with new ideas
You can take old business ideas and tweak them to work in the Black community

Whatever business you start gonna face competition
When I drive around my city,I often wonder how business survive when they have half a dozen competitors next door selling the same shyt

@NoChill Jones does not understand the concept of a pop-up shop. My sales are based on online sales. We only do pop ups twice a year in NYC so that people can have the jnstore experience. That store I showed pictures of was only open for two weeks thats the point thats the point of a pop-up shop its a short term retail experience. We did that to test the waters for the brand. Made sales everyday except one. Of course you're always going to be a slave working for someone else so this type of thing is above your head.

Anyways im done discussing business with idiots who dont know what they are talking about. You give me a headache you fukking loser.

nikka please...that's your shytty store in the back of your uncles garage...

So what I get fired, I get a new job, so what my business fails at first ok I'll start over again.

All the entrepreneurship threads end up with ppl getting offended and mad at whoever made the thread. It usually starts on the first page :francis:

I don't get why nikkas equate encouraging entrepreneurship as some sort personal attack on themselves. Encouraging entrepreneurship is a good thing. A bad thing would be to tell black men "don't even try because you can't do it" or "white businesses are better than black businesses" or some bullshyt like that.

Its not that peoole get offended...its always arrogant shyt for brains nikkas start thinking they internet life is bigger then then they real life...and all the I am better then you bullshyt starts seeping through the pored of these fake wanna be broke bill gates ass nikkas. They don't want to discuss amongst brothers they want to bash and belittle. And most of em have no leg to stand on....dont forget Im white and an agent amd troll.....because I disagree. Picture that...these coli nikkas are idiots breh....and just like Sagat you give em time and they expose just how full of shyt they are every time...

Yall talk shyt about black people working for white people but don't mention the fact that the vast majority of white people are working for white people

:dahell: ummm that's the point, white workers are working for white bosses. THEIR race. They employ, and are employed by people who look like them.

Black men for the most part, are NOT employed by people who look like us. That's the difference. Of course there are white workers and most of them work for white ppl, but should the majority of OUR workers be working for white ppl too?....

And the OP is saying we need more black businesses so that our people can employ and be employed by our own race (like others are employed by their own race). Do you get it now? :francis: probably not. You seem too far gone to even understand the concept.

Speak on it brehs! Felt this quote deserved its own thread.

How come we're so afraid of doing for self? Creating, employing and spending amongst ourselves.... ?

Depending on ourselves for resources - the way it should be.

How come when these topics are brought up - it causes arguments and insults?

Something is wrong here..... we're the only group who actively doesnt believe in the value of entrepreneurship and job creation.

I get it, it's hard to care about that when you've "already made it" or "got that good job" but the way we talk down and belittle entrepreneurship as if it's something to be ashamed of, is crazy.....

We sit up and talk about whitey all day, meanwhile at any point in time - he could stop writing your checks.

This is the only way to rise in this system.... thru creation and building amongst ourselves.

Cacs know our people are dependent upon them to survive and until that changes, there will be no hashtags or Protests that will make them care about anything until we affect their pockets and start competing and start disrupting their cash flow by building amongst ourselves.

Working for the white man for the rest of eternity is counterproductive if we're really about black progress as a collective.

You are about 50 years late with this rhetoric....

In order to build as a collective, we can't be adversaries with black women
They in turn would have to reject feminist ideals to submit and nurture ....

which simply isn't going to happen ......

Now as an individual..... going against societal headwinds and rejecting the 9-5
to create wealth through business is a lonely ass path if you are the one in that circle
trying to get ahead

there's simply too much derision and attacks on your self esteem on the comeup ..

as for this group economics stuff... this is not the route to lifting a race when
we are ~ 15 % of the population and earn the least

We need to create products/services for every single dollar out there not just black ones

A lot of naivete in this thread...... a lot of yall sound no older than 22... and still in school and shyt....
c/s

I love the 'start your own business' talk but its always.. Start the business, it blows up, you hire your fellow kind, ball out, etc. No talk of the ideal itself that'll hopefully catch on, the capital used to start said business, the loans, overhead-business cards- networking, overcoming a slow start, maybe not fully profitable until 3-5 years in, taking more loans to expand the business if things are going well, payroll, taxes, advertising, etc etc etc.

- I love and support black businesses but lets break it all down from top to bottom, not the trendy feel good start your own business talk. Cause its a serious fight out here in real life.

I dont need black employees or a black boss..I need dead Presidents....get off the elementary fukk shyt nikka...we need more black people working for black people...thats going to help us all get rich...:laff:...child like reasoning breh...

Circumstances will lead our men to starting their own businesses anyway OP. When we cant get high paying jobs or progress working for some one else is when that will start to happen. Its already happening with a lot of black men though. All my uncles (my moms brothers) are their own boss and tun 2 businesses. My grand father before them did and past his skill and business down to his son. My grandfather had to feed his kids and he couldn't make a descent living working for the white man in them times. So he became a mechanic. My family is just one example. Plenty of black people will start their own business because circumstances.:manny:

Most of us(African Americans)aren't shown or taught how to even go about starting a business, sadly, I had to learn economics and business management as a fully grown adult
