The first pic is from Hulu's Runaways (marvel) The actors playing his parents could never be his mother or father.
The little boy is supposed to be the younger version of the black character in the picture behind him. Its from Freeforems cloak and dagger ( marvel).

Don't Forget Whoopi Goldberg basically ran the 80's and early 90s.

But colorism in hollywood does exist, it's just mainly with roles that are meant to have eye candy or be sexually appealing. They always go light skinned actresses in those cases.
But in a regular drama's, comedy or anything not meant to look sexy, i don't see many cases of colorism.

There is no different "outlook" it doesn't exist for that very reason. There is no all encompassing black experience. I have definitely met light skinned and mixed race people I feel are more racially in tune then darker tones people

That doesn’t negate the fact that they definitely have a privilege as far as media aesthetics are concerned

It's easier to be pro-black when you have a choice over it. People.never mention this. Plus many of them are simply over compensating out of insecurity.
