cuz back then dark skin black women were the standard in media... music videos, tv shows, movies, modeling industry...
but thats cuz naomi campbell and whitney houston blew up in the late 80s...
90s hollywood dark skin black women were more likely to get cast in postive character roles...
fast forward to the 2000s when alicia keys and beyonce blew up... then later rihanna...
now its back to light skin or "exotic" women in demand... like it was in the 80s..
black patriarch broke it all the way down...
