Supposedly Spotlight is the best movie of the year :yeshrug:

You aint seen that yet?

Nah, outside of Creed and this I didn't watch (or was planning to watch) any screeners of movies dropping in theaters here less than a month from now.

I'm planning on checking this out this afternoon.

Was originally going to see Hateful 8, but after reading the reviews in here I'll check that out later.

Yeah, I was kinda :dwillhuh: about that.
They showed his assistant, or whatever he was, working on a 7/11 putting red bulls on a fridge (I to double check if it was really the same guy from his office, and he was), I was like couldn't Bale give him a few bucks before closing his fund?

edit:
he won 100 million.

This movie was :noah::banderas::noah::banderas:status.

So good. It made a pretty "boring" topic understandable.

Steve Carrell was perfect in this role, if he wins best actor for the Oscars I would not be surprised.

Great movie. I put it right up there with Spotlight at this point. Either could win Best Picture and I would be ok with that.

Loved this movie. I was on the "don't think they can make it work with all these stars" bandwagon and was completely wrong.

This and Spotlight are steps above the other award season movies. Gotta see Room and Anomalisa yet though.
This was one of those films where you forget the actors type thing.

Loved it.

Way less cumbersome than Wolf of Wall Street

Interview below says that the cinematographer Barry Ackroyd used hidden cameras and cameras with long lens in the far corners of the rooms during filming.

The actors said it really helped their performance because the cameras were out of the way and they could just focus on the scenes. The director said he liked the style so much he plans to use it exclusively in the future.

Just thought that was interesting. Maybe best cinematography award as well.:salute:

If you don't have time to watch the whole interview, they talk about this around 20 minutes.

Edit: Barry Ackroyd is doing the 5th Bourne film:blessed:
