The Bible is actually a pretty interesting book.

Because slavery was 7 years long and then you got your freedom and some cash. There were even "holidays" where you could and supposed to free your slaves early.

Slavery pre 1500 is very different than slavery post 1500.
That doesn't make it a good thing. Becoming a slave wasn't a choice people made because that was just something they wanted to do. They had to pay back debts but had no real viable options. Even if you are treated "well", the work is still demeaning. Fast food workers get treated rough, now imagine how being a slave. Like, would you be my slave if I promised to free you after seven years? :jbhmm:

Old testament God :wow:
He is the Unchangeable God
“For I, the Lord, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed."
Malachi 3: 6
The New Testament is Roman Edomite blasphemy.

I found it kinda…odd that God would kill EVERYBODY ON THE EARTH (except for Noah’s family). Just seems kinda mean, immoral, and ungodly to be quite frank.

Do you remember what was going on & why the people were destroyed?

You gotta understand the details, though.

God - who could read hearts, and see everything - looks around at what everybody is doing, and:

“The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. And the Lord said, “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.”

So if everything was bad...and he gave everybody 100 years to get they mind right, and they didn’t?
That’s fair...

You have to understand Genesis before you can understand the rest of the bible. If you don't believe what happened there you won't believe/understand the rest, because there's a mental block.

1. Including children? They had to drown and die horribly because of the actions of others?

2. It’s almost like God created imperfect people, then got mad at them and killed them for being imperfect.

No, that’s not fair.

No, that’s not fair.

1. Everybody had a chance to help and choice to get on the ark - including children.
The children could see the same conditions the adults did.

2. God created perfect people; people chose to be imperfect with their Free Will.
Choices have consequences - and if the consequences are given beforehand, that is the definition of “fair”.

1. That's because you wanted to know good from evil right? Everybody chose that when they sin. Now you get to see it in all of it's ugly reality.

2. The angels aren't even perfect and they are going to be judged. So everybody and every nation gets judged. If you read the bible with understanding you see that God put spirit beings in charge of the nations at the Tower of Babel. That's where the different languages came in to separate the nations. These spirit beings are really the prince angels like Michael is to Israel. In Psalm 82 it tells you how God is going to kill these spirit beings in judgement. They weren't meant to die, but they are going to die like men. Really it all started from Lucifer's attempt to take over the Throne of God. The book is about an ongoing spiritual war. It's still going on at this very moment. So this even means that one day, the prince of the U.S. is going to be killed and the U.S. will fall and be judged for it's rebellion against God.

1. So folks on the other side of the planet were supposed to know about the ark?
:martin:
2. Again, related to point 1, what choices did children make to deserve the consequence of drowning?

1. What sins are babies committing? Again, why are they being punished for the “sins” of others?

2. They weren’t on the ark everybody was told to get on so they don’t drown.
I thought you said you read the story.
