Move those goal posts and change that subject why don't you :mjlol:. None of those teams you listed won following the philosophy dictated by the so-called reality that you want to claim exists with no basis (save maybe the Pats last year and defense was still pretty important for them as well).

Who said defense wasnt important lol? Jesus Christ.

And then when I point to the elite qb/salary cap stuff you been spouting you double down and then when I confront that with more contrary facts you put your hands up and say "I'm not arguing with you" and then I again point to the stuff you've been spouting and rinse, repeat. I know the run around when I see it :francis:. Feel free to carry on alone.

These fukk nikkaz on here would trade all their best defensive players for offensive players on madden.

Type of nikkaz to think a 48-45 score is a "good game". No. It's a halfway good game. Good offensively by both teams, but terribly defensively. With me, it's not just offense and not just defense. I go both ways.

Which elite QB's are hurting their team cap wise? Have any of the dumps the Patriots or Seahawks made hurt their rosters or chances at winning the Super Bowl? Is Palmer's contract hurting the Cardinals chances? Ben's? Roster overhaul happens for every team...its the teams who have the QB in place that are the ones the withstand it the best. The salary cap and free agency has created a have or have not balance in the league. There's not nearly the amount of parity that's portrayed.

What does any of this have to do with the topic of the thread and what I have been talking about? :mindblown: You can't just make up points to respond to when you can't respond to what is actually being said :mjlol:. Quote for me the post where I suggested any of that shyt you are spouting off right there.

What exactly is your point? The cap, rules and free agency has made it tougher for teams to win consistently without a great QB- agree or disagree? If you do disagree cite an example of a franchise that's pulled it off.

And this has what to do with a bias towards hiring OCs over DCs?

Because teams are falling for the trap that you need an offensive minded HC to find a franchise QB rather than hiring the best candidate and giving him time to build a team.

So again I ask, why have you been espousing said trap throughout the thread?

Simply trying to get into the heads of franchises I guess. I would assume that's their thought process. All of these hires have been pretty underwhelming. Cleveland's actually the most interesting...like I said earlier Im hoping a team can change the landscape of the league because seeing the Patriots, Steelers, Packers and Seahawks is getting quite boring every year.

We think of the offense as the more complex part of the game which also tends to bring out to :mjpls: in some people, though I'm sure that's been discussed already.

If you go a little deeper, this trend makes it harder to hire black coaches seeing as a disproportionate amount of black coordinators and position coaches are on the defense.

Arians is really the only offensive minded coach I can think of that won without a franchise QB (talking about last year) but that's because the defense was so dominant. If anyone can think of another let me know.

Negativity (Kayfabe)
With the hard salary cap in place there's a bigger emphasis on offense because of how much a good QB can sway things. Look at the teams who consistently win and are in the playoffs...all have elite level QB's in place.
Ask the Falcons, Dolphins, Lions, Giants how much sway a $100 million has.

I'm tired of that narrative.
