The plan is for Reeves to head-up his own, insular, Batman universe, with spinoff series centering on Colin Farrell’s Penguin and Arkham Asylum already in the works. The Batman was not only met with rave reviews from critics, it has also been a major financial success, grossing over $770 million at the box office. While there had been some concern over the status of The Batman 2 amid the creative changes currently taking place at Warner Bros.
