Who started that rumor anyway? It seemed to me like Gunn was clear about Reeves being an "Elseworld's" story. I think it'd be possible to make it work but I don't think they need to combine anything.

Some random it seems, but Reeves answer probably gave the rumor a lil more credit. I think ppl also kinda screwing up the rumor. It wasnt Reeve's batman would be absorbed by Gunniverse, it was Gunn wanted Pattinson to play his DCU batman. Meaning different take but same actor, not connected to Reeves.

Even that quote above it could be Andy playing word games. That quote doesnt say Robert Pattinson wont be DCU Batman. It says Reeve's batman isnt.

With Gunn being the comic head he is, I can can see him thinking it would be cool to use Pattinson in his Gunniverse.

I don’t care as long as it’s done right. First one was a 9/10 for me. Loved the young and dumb angry mopey portrayal of a second year Batman. He needs to learn to mask the pain still to act as a successful bizness man who is also a big time philanthropist and womanizer. But unlike tony stark it’s a cheerful act for Bruce who deep down is always that angry lonely moody character. The Batman scared of heights thing I accounted to him having maybe never tested that squirrel flying suit at that height before. Probably thought he was gonna die.
