2027 is wild. They should've timed it better with The Penguin
Either Reeves hasn't been able to move the story forward to a greater height or they are going to put this into the DCU.
I can't think of any other reason that Dune and this came out the same year and Dune will finish it's trilogy BEFORE this sequel comes out

Heath Ledger died which threw everything off for Dark Knight 3.
Joker was supposed to be a one off. The ONLY reason it got a sequel is because it made it to the BILLION DOLLAR CLUB! And that was on a shoe string budget too. PLUS the world turned off from 2020 to part way through 2022.
There ain't no excuse here. Unless someone behind the scenes is having personal issues. This is some bullshyt.

I’d chalk this up to scheduling issues with Pattinson doing Nolan’s Odyssey movie if it weren’t for Gunn chiming in about an unfinished script. Yeah something funky going on behind the scenes
