Good bye Coli(2014-2020)
How the fukkBooker and MVP not become world champions? Kofi, Rtruth.. Yeah, unfortunately, I get it. But Booker and MVP were over, charismatic, GREAT on the mic, and could wrestle better than the majority of the roster. The only thing that got in their way was their race.

Booker T won the WHC, But it was under that stupid King Booker gimmick. Plus he was a heel and the got buried by Batista. I agree 100% with MVP. Now TNA is using him the right way.

Booker to me was always great in ring but i dont think THE PEOPLE loved him that much like the rock, and mvp again this is my opinion from over the years but he just never had it like the rock.

ive seen posters on here say the rock isnt a black man lol but ive always and will forever i.d him as black man

i havnt read the article but i dont think theirs a race problem, just a lack of a black star that can be universally loved

i dont mind if people flame me for this post but to be champ u got to be over when heel or face

The Last of the Outlaws
Mark Henry should have won last summer

It woulda worked. I've seen "oh he was injury prone" kicked around a lot about him but I'm also not one who thinks a heel world champion needs to be in ring every week. Everything about him was believable during that 2011- Brock crushing him point.

Booker T goes without explaination. Dude was WWE championship ready when he came in during the invasion IMO. Watch the "After the show RAW" DVD. That 2003ish era of fans were ready to eat out of Bookers hands

It will be forever funny to me how Kingston is considered a "jobber", but is constantly put in to elimination chambers and Money in the Bank matches.

edit: no, I'm not trying to make an offhanded point. I'm just making an observation.
Exactly they use him for his high spots and excitement but heaven forbid they push him

The article mentioned Rocky in an update

The only person of African descent ever named world champion was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, a special case. Half Samoan and half African-Canadian, Johnson identifies as Samoan and comes from a line of famous wrestlers. As WWE's first third-generation fighter, he was allowed a narrative that reflected his specific family history, not the mere fact of his race.*

*Update: This paragraph was added for clarity.

You're right and I also consider Rock a black star but you're being completely unfair. Of course Booker and MVP aren't talented as the Rock. NO ONE IS. He (along with Hogan) is the biggest name in wrestling history. Holding other black wrestlers to that standard is unfair, especially when white wrestlers are never held to that standard.

The problem with mentioning the Rock is that he's just one man and that does not take anything away from this discussion or the legitimacy of this critique in any shape or form. It's a strawman devised by people wishing to play damage control. It's corny, myopic, and really fukking stupid.
