At best this changes nothing and they dilute outside the float. At worst they use these shares to regain control of the vote (will investors hold their amc shares AND 100% of the ape shares? Doubt it) since the new shares will have voting rights. They approve on the dilution next vote and dump both floats to complete the rug pull.

The audacity this company has is truly incredible, they're really turning AMC's entire business model into milking its investors dry with gimmicks. From the company that brought you 4 back to back agressive dilutions and selling discounted shares directly to hedge funds to stop the squeeze brings us one more classic. Look more NFT's! Hey buy this mining company's shares from the hedge fund I saved from you guys! Popcorn delivery! And now new votable shares under the ticker "ape" !

I was thinking the same thing. there's no way this makes sense to just issue out blank shares unless you plan on putting them to something.

Of course I could be wrong, but I think the problem is if we (current holders) sell our new $APE shares and institutions buy them, and then AMC holds a vote asking if holders want to convert $APE shares to $AMC shares, the institutions will undoubtedly vote YES.
Once that happens, they can hold a vote about adding more shares. WE said no to new shares last time, but if all this happens, they will possibly have enough YES votes, and then we get diluted. Dilution = No MOASS.

So basically, we can’t do anything with those APE shares. Just let them sit there.

Again, I could be wrong, but that’s what I’m piecing together. We literally don’t need any extra shares. We don’t need anything except for institutions to cover.

Yeah I feel the same way... Won't be selling ape for that vote to convert to AMC shares until this out the way.... They can have whatever then... I'll keep a few on deck for memoirs tho
