Bullshyt, Superman is a global Icon that's synonymous with the word "Superhero". The character and story are one of the most valuable intellectual properties of all time. They were selling Superman shyt around the globe before Spider-Man even existed. Not to mention that a sizable chunk of Batman stuff involves Superman (and vice versa).

I said in my first post that Superman hasn't had a good film in decades. Superman is still a more beloved character globally than Spider-Man. Like I said Superman merchandise was being sold around the world before Spider-Man even existed. You say Superhero and the first thing most people think of is "Superman" and the character.
There have been multiple books written about the most influential and popular fictional characters and Superman is ALWAYS on that list along with Batman, Spider-Man is rarely mentioned and when he is it's below Superman.
Hell there are books you can find that are specifically about how popular Superman is globally.

Thing is I don't even like Superman like that, but when you take EVERYTHING into account Superman is one of the most popular/recognizable of ALL fictional characters and ahead of Spider-Man.

Movie was good, probably a few notches below part 2 as the best one. I will say that they finally got Spidey right. He was quipping, was quick as hell and I like how they showed how smart he was. How he setup the web in the sewer and how he wrapped Lizard up like a coc00n in the school fight.
Acting was great too, night and day between this and the original films, Aunt May was the only weak point to me and JJJ was missed.
