The Amazing Spider-Man Scores $50.2 Million in Asia

Saw the flick last night and it started out kind of slow but it was an ok movie I would score it 3/5. What I did like was the practical stunts and CGI blend with the action, it looked a lot realer this time around then the old movies. The cinematography for the movie was great; they did a solid job with recreating their version of NYC. What I didn’t like about the movie and what I hated about all the Spider-Man movies is he takes his mask off all the time this always annoys me. The way he took off his mask mostly everybody knows who he is especially the police dept. Also the musical score for the movie was very forgettable; the music itself didn’t even seemed like it fit for this movie. Maybe since it’s the first movie they didn’t want to create a solid theme for the film yet but I feel they made a mistake by not doing so.

it was better than I expected...I agree it was missing something tho...I think a lot of that has to do with the Avengers being so fresh in everybodies minds. They kinda went out of their way to make it darker/emo to appeal to the tweener crowd. Avengers had that disney/marvel shine to it. But over it was actually a dope movie. Its just too bad it was stuck in between Avengers and Batman.

I called it in a thread I made a few days ago. Bad timing of this release. People will compare it to avengers and then forget about it once the dark knight comes in 18 days. GI joe execs got it right. Fall back and wait until next summer or spring to maximize revenue

it was Osborn. Alot of people thought Peter's parents conspiracy was pointless. It was lame in the comics and its lame live action.

Yeah, he aint had a good movie in decades, but don't sleep on Superman's popularity.

dude...superman is way more of an american thing.

batman and spiderman are easily the two most recognizable and popular superheroes outside of the US.

I hope they do the goblin justice this time around, by far this sticks out as one of my favorite episodes of Spider-Man TAS, one of the great moments from the comic-book version was in this episode too, when Peter decides to throw one of his web cartridges in to the fire as a distraction, Norman toying around with parkers other identity, all around great episode, Spider-Man done right, the greatest incarnation of Spidey ever done...Spider-Man TAS.
