Spider-Man, having conducted his own investigation and in another instance of his now all-too-common vigilantism, left the webbed-up gangster hanging from a lamp post, for the arrival of a surprised police squad.

But the biggest shock of all came when the mask of the Big Man was yanked off and the gangster was revealed to be Daily Bugle crime beat reporter Frederick Foswell! In a prepared statement, NYPD Major Crimes Unit Sergeant Stan Carter said, “Foswell confessed to his role as the organizing force behind the city’s recent surge in crime. He has not provided a motive for his actions.”

Daily Bugle Publisher and brilliant, stunning, generous philanthropist, J. Jonah Jameson issued a statement, “For the record, the Daily Bugle has been a proud institution in this great city for generations. We report the news, we don’t make ourselves a part of the story. Foswell’s a good writer. I look forward to reading his insider account of Ryker’s Island Penitentiary over the next twenty-five years to life.”

Word? Well in the states he was labeled as "new goblin" not hobgoblin so officially, there hasn't been a hobgoblin in film yet and I'd love to see it. And yeah a lot of people who write articles aren't up on their comic book history they just write from a place of ignorance. it happens . The guys writing and directing the venom movie have always said that if you're going to do Venom, you have to do him right
Now personally, I'm not a huge Venom fan but If I was, I'd just sit back and see what happens. Plus they got Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods) helping to write it and he's writing and directing the sinister 6 movie so I feel like that's a good look

the more i read i got hope they will do venom right this time, that spider man 3 hurt my feelings but that was forced now that i think about it.... this will be planned & hopefully done right.....

forget about carnage though..... thatll be the worst "shoulda been R rated" movie ever.... you cant do anything carnage related good at pg13.....

Carnage doesn't NEED to be R rated just needs to be a better villain than he is. If done right, he's the joker or has the potential to be that but normally he's just so damn one note and dumb to boot

Carnage doesn't NEED to be R rated just needs to be a better villain than he is. If done right, he's the joker or has the potential to be that but normally he's just so damn one note and dumb to boot

but Joker is more intricate & has another element to him, you can go into Joker numerous ways cause hes complex... Carnage has always been a psychotic/sociopathic 1 trick pony.... he was supposed to die when he was created.... venom was supposed to die in an anniversary issue but the fans loved him so much they created carnage to die in his place...

all this dude does is kill people for no reason, joker told carnage he was worthless & lacks class in the batman/spiderman book then blew him up.... dont get me wrong though, i like carnage... how can they possibly keep him right & not have it rated R??? hes never been in any story without fukkery involved... only way i see it is if they make venom an anti-hero, like stated, then make him fight carnage in a darher toned movie.... no way should any of these spidey movies feature "Popcorn Carnage"..

Marc Webb said the Daily Bugle is in it but as to whether Jonah is it in it, he isn't saying. They've got a daily bugle tumblr site up that's been filling in the blanks between the last movie and this one, even got a couple JJJ editorials up as he decries spider man and wonders who elected him to be the city's hero and who pays for the carnage he creates

i dont wanna see carnage on screen either i just saw your convo with the other breh about carnage... i get you aint a venom stan like me but in reality who else does spidey have that can pull this off??? a fan favorite & made for the spot... id love to see a "Mark of Kaine" but that jackal shyt would have to be a trilogy just to understand the first movie....

Who can pull what off? A dope villain? Well let's go with the theory that they're building to the sinister 6 with at least four villains already introduced in this universe: Lizard, Goblin, Rhino and Electro. The only two left are Ock and Vulture OR if they're saying Lizard won't be a part of it, then it will be Venom. I'd love to see Ock again and would definitely like to see Vulture strictly for the aerial battles between he and Spidey. Seeing Norman and Octavius go toe to toe would be fun too. As far as just who I'd want to see as a villain, I stick with Kraven because the story writes itself: Big game hunter comes to NYC because he's heard of a man spider who has beaten a lizard and two other foes, so there is the challenge of him being "the greatest hunter" and that's right up Kraven's alley. At this point, I don't necessarily want to see stories adapted as much as I want to see the characters so while seeing Kraven's Last Hunt would be dope, I'm more excited at the prospect of seeing him. I do know that Marc Webb is fond of Mysterio so I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up too and while I'm not a huge Mysterio fan, visually he lets you go buck wild and it would be fun to see that and I know as a filmmaker that has to give you a stiffy.

If it were me though, I want to see the mob aspect of Spidey's world: Tombstone, Big Man, Hammerhead, Silver Sable, Kingsley, etc. THAT is the stuff I really want to see and an aspect of Spider Man we haven't seen yet but it's definitely hinted at in that Daily Bugle tumblr as they've already mentioned the Big Man and the enforcers.
