Henry Armstrong never fought a 160 pound title, there wasn't one back then, anything over 147 was middleweight

:wow:

There were 8 divisions when Henry Armstrong fought:

Flyweight...0 - 112 lbs
Bantamweight...113lbs - 118lbs
Featherweight...119lbs - 126lbs
Lightweight...127lbs - 135lbs
Welterweight...136lbs - 147lbs
Middleweight...148lbs - 160lbs
Light Heavyweight...161lbs - 175lbs
Heavyweight...176lbs and over

To say the Middleweight Championship wasnt the "160 Championship" is stupid, because it was. That was the max weight you could go...just like Light Heavyweight is also called the 175 Championship, because it's the max clown:ufdup:

You still on this hamed shyt

Im still on the smacking you around shyt:umad:

he was never a PPV star, Cotto is a bigger pay per view star than him

Since when were we arguing Naseem Hamed being a PPV star?:dwillhuh:

stop bring thing this nikka up

Stop being stupid. You just talked about Hamed in your last post to me.

6.5 million is chump change

Then why did it take 10 years as a professional boxer for Floyd to make more than that as a base purse?:sas2:

secondly HE DIDN'T WIN

He made that money regardless if he won or lost:dahell:

I never seen any competition where you get points for trying

I never seen any big time boxing match, where the purse you agreed to sign the contract for, is affected by whether you win or lose the fight.:what:

What nonsense did I say

I don't even know what newzz is even talking about, he just goes off about hamed who's not even a subject in this thread

I didn't know Hamed fought on PPV so I asked, so what

Hamed is not an all time great, so why are we even talking about him

the fact Henry Armstrong fought a 153 pound guy is a fact

The guy even corrected Hopkins in the video and said "there was no jr middle division"

no featherweight has ever been the biggest draw in the sport that is a fact

Hamed was nowhere near De Le Hoya's stardom in the 90's that is a fact

What gym do you go to talking this nonsense, nikkas know what gyms/boxers I fukk with on a personal level, if the gym is in the tri state area I might know where it is. If it's anywhere else the in the US Skihat will probably know.

Listen man can make your point a single sentence, your post give me a headache

HE DIDN'T WIN

and the guy he fought was smaller than guys Floyd has actually beating for the Jr Middleweight title, this is a fact

It took Floyd ten years to make that money because there's no mega fights in the smaller divisions, so he had to continue to go up to get the pay day

why you think your boy broner jumped to weigh classes because he wanted to be a superstar proves that

Hamed is a bum compared to Floyd please stop bringing this nikka up, Floyd made in one fight more than the gross of his career

Hamed was not PPV star, his PPV numbers aren't even on the radar

that's like saying Gatti was a PPV star

Roy jones wasn't even a PPV star man

just stop
show me a featherweight thats made that type of money like the heavyweights have, only welterweights and up make that type of money

Thurman turned down 6 mil over 4 fights, Hamed made that in 1 fight :laff:

6 mil is not chump change, not matter how you slice it. Fighters in the past that participated in mega fights made alot less than that

Like Master Teacher would let facts get in the way of his struggle argument. :mjlol:

I said Armstrong started at Featherweight and moved up to fight for the 160 Belt. You countered with Floyd started off 125 (as an amateur), but moved up because there were no fights there and that there was no big money either. I proved you wrong by bringing up Prince Naseem Hamed, as well as many others who WERE fighting at Featherweight, and killed you.

That's how we got here. You started it by being ignorant in your boxing knowledge

I didn't know Hamed fought on PPV so I asked, so what

Awww, you mad?:umad:

Hamed is not an all time great, so why are we even talking about him

Prince Naseem Hamed should be inducted in the HOF this year coincidentally:sas2:

the fact Henry Armstrong fought a 153 pound guy is a fact

The guy even corrected Hopkins in the video and said "there was no jr middle division"

The fact is he was also the Middleweight Champion of the World and beat a prime HOFer, and a top Middleweight of All-Time, to garner the belt:ufdup:

no featherweight has ever been the biggest draw in the sport that is a fact

Neither has a Light Heavyweight....what does that mean really?

Hamed was nowhere near De Le Hoya's stardom in the 90's that is a fact

Neither was Floyd.....but you've already admitted that Naseem Hamed was a bigger star than Floyd and Floyd didnt become a household name until 2007, 11 years after he began his professional boxing career:umad:

Alias alert?:mjpls:

are you serious

beating me about what?

I brought up Floyd being at 125 in the olympics to show how he is of SMALL STATURE

Henry Armstrong for a Middleweight who was 153?

That's a lot different than fighing a 160 pounder in modern boxing who was going to weigh in at 160 and be heavier the night of the fight

Floyd has fought guys bigger than 153

that was the entire point

what are you talking about

I've had Master Teacher on ignore since he said Hopkins had to move down in weight to face Trinidad. I think it was in some thread where nikkas was talking about Cotto could beat all the same cats Tito beat . :mjlol:

It was at that moment where I realized that I couldn't sanction his buffoonery any longer. :camby:

Fistful of jewels
And in today'st it would have been classifiedd as Jr Middleweight

Judah was 154 and Floyd was 147, he's already fought middleweight 160 guys De La Hoya, Cotto, and Canelo all came in at 160 or higher as well as Maidana in the first fight
Idiots really count the "fight night" weights? Do you really think they strip down again? Many times they are fully clothed you fukking dumbass.

:whew: you mad as fukk, agreeing with someone who is stating facts is cheer leading? It seems to be the more you post the more you are digging into your bag of emotions. You are in here looking like a female, losing the argument so you get in your feelings.
