Right wingers are going to celebrate but at the end of the day, Disney got what they wanted. The show's failure is largely irrelevant, all they care about is the engagement it farmed and the diverse demographics it will (allegedly) continue to garner streams from going forward. They're willing to lose tens of millions of dollars on poorly performing shows because they think the dominant demographics for their products will one day be black/brown people and white women. Nor does it matter how shytty the product is. The worse it is, the more engagement: weirdo white people hating on it, and Stockholm Syndrome black fans defending it. Meanwhile no actual black stories are being told. The black (and brown/asian/etc) characters might as well just be faces for diverse crowds to see and decide they want to see. Disney doesn't give a fukk about telling interesting stories or creating interesting characters. They just want you engaged for long enough to satisfy shareholders.

Until that changes they will keep giving people slop. They've driven Star Wars into the ground. The magic is gone. Every show becomes a nerd battle over buzzwords, and then they bring in actors who seem deliberately focused on trolling a certain group of fans, which results in more abuse and BS, and before you know it nobody is satisfied another another show is canned.

they feed right into this shyt and basically have everyone on the show come out before the show even airs like, "yeah, it's this, deal with it bytches!" just stfu and ignore the "trolls." ... but if they did that, they wouldn't have the built in excuse for the dogshyt they're making. "we're proud of what we made and know it's only racist trolls who didn't like it!" i guess that's over, thankfully. your show failed. it wasn't good.
