I have a hard time believing that there is only 1 Asian city on there, though. Middle East? What about Caucasus, too... Grozny or Makhachkala maybe?

not saying it's not true, but it skews perceptions because it's the first time most americans have heard of these cities.
you can walk through at least 45 of those cities at night and be safe. i'd bet on it. if you're naive enough to wander into the slums you're fukked, but how is that different from here?
baltimore is actually a beautiful city, brehs. it's not all top 50 lists and the wire. curitiba has gotta be the cleanest city in brazil. belo horizonte has the highest concentration of bad broads in the world so whatever danger you might encounter is worth it

Planed to stay in Cape Town.. then travel to different places from there. But they have 3 cities in the top 50.

I was skeptical of my own safety overseas, mostly based on stuff like this and not what I actually saw. Until I saw three German tourists, two women in their 30s and a dude in his 40s, talking loud as fukk in German, complete with hiking backpacks, tie dye shirts and hiking shoes. Gringissimo, brehs. Went untouched and actually unnoticed. Wasn't in a shady station but was downtown in a major city, so there was enough of every demographic, including criminal types.
And I'm not one of these vice travel dudes. I have people in Cuernavaca and im not going near there. But a lotta these cities aren't major drug war battlegrounds like Cuernavaca.
