NCCU over Howard 13-7
Gram won the State Fair Classic
Valley got a W over Pine Bluff (my cousin just texted me geeked, plus he had a decent game)
Langston beat Lane (shoutout our NAIA brehthren)
Tennessee State sitting at 4-2 after beating Eastern Kentucky
It was some good games all around HBCU football today

Tennessee State is the only HBCU not in a HBCU conference (Ohio Valley Conference) and they are 4-2(1-2), good for 6th place.
After Howard completed the biggest upset in CFB history when they beat UNLV, they have regressed a little bit. Caylin Newton should win a few MEAC titles before he graduates though..
Grambling is deebo again and beating every HBCU they face..their only loss was against Tulane earlier this season.
NCATor NCCU will meet Grambling again in the Celebration Bowl.
Alabama State fired Brian Jenkins earlier this week for poor performance. If Jackson State doesnt beat Tuskegee at Homecoming this coming Saturday, I predict their coach will be let go as well. There is a certain standard of excellence you have to uphold at JSU and he hasnt been getting it done.
Mississippi Valley State hasnt been this high in the standings in a while. They better capitalize on this while Bama State and Jackson State are down. Hopefully they can convince some kids to go there, which is a hard thing to do.
Should be a good 2nd half of the season though

A&T/Central will still run the MEAC for the next few yrs. It's all about how London & Co. recruit up in DC. I talked to one of my A&T brehs and he said this is the best he's seen them (even when they had Tarik)

Valley better enjoy this now cause with their facilities, location, and campus it's damn near impossible to convince kids to go there. I'd be surprised if the school survives another 20 years.
You would think FAMU or Cookman would be running the MEAC with those Florida athletes, but SC State and the North Carolina schools have had it on lock for a while now.

I think some of those schools should just do what Alcorn did and hire a guy like Jay Hopson, a white coach, who can recruit the state and let the job be a spring board to a PWI. Gotta try new guys out if you wanna succeed
BCC was ballin cuz Jenkins had good ass transfers and that Florida talent. FAMU gotta get another coach with deep Florida ties. SC, NC, and VA/DC MEAC schools will forever run football and basketball, it's too much talent in those places and they have the resources. Just comes down to the coaches/AD
SSU might be straight, just from having FCS caliber guys and making the drop from D2 they'll get Ws the first couple years. They just gotta hope the UGA system doesn't further jeopardize the future of the univeristy

I got a feeling SSU won't get dominated in D2 because their coach came from D3. He'll know how to get athletes there and not be faced with restrictions/rules you're faced with in FCS football.
I'ma go out on a limb and say Jackson St gets their first win against Skegee. If the Golden Tigers win, make them SWAC members lol. Hell their should be a SWAC/SIAC relegation system, best SIAC team moves to the SWAC and worst SWAC moves to SIAC

There's been talks of Skegee, Tennessee State & FAMU joining the SWAC for years but it hasn't happened yet.
