Would Melo play in Cleveland?

I say that to say... Is is a possible hypo for Bron wanting to actually go back to Cleveland and forming something w/ Melo.

Which would have NY traded Melo to Cleveland in exchange for the NO.1 pick & change & Lebron signing w/ them.

Just a thought I had...in its very infantile state... So don't "come at me, bro"

Depends on if he believes he could win there. At this point in his career its gotta be less about destinations to play ball in and more about getting a ring.

I don't think he's coming here (CLE) and I don't think Lebron is coming back either (especially if the Heat 3-peat). Cleveland has more assets for a trade, but if Melo is traded I bet he'd rather go to Chicago.

in what world is Taj Gibson worth an 8th overall pick?
Kings are asking for a veteran for the pick, come up with some names you think would be sufficient for that pick since Taj isn't according to you?

Wouldn't a potential Taj/Cousins front court be better than that though? And if that's the case, why not just draft the best PG available at 8 and keep it moving?

Any player they get at 8 is also expected to be better than taj they may be able to get randle at 8.

So why are they shopping the pick ?

And I thought it was common knowledge that they want to pair a rim protector alongside Cousins, but whatever.

Bulls could swing Taj to Sacramento for the 8th pick

Then flip the 8th pick, 19th pick and rights to Mirotic to the Wolves for Love :ehh:

@tremonthustler1 @GoldenGlove drop some thoughts.

Bulls could then amnesty Boozer and have capspace to still sign a wing (Lance, etc.,)

:ehh:
Mirotic is the deal breaker. Otherwise it's Love for the 8th pick ( knowing Glen's tendencies he'd try to sell a 3rd first rounder.)

Taj is a veteran but he's not worth a #8 imo. He barely has experience as a starter and he's 28.

names that would be sufficient:
Zach Randolph (if Memphis trying to rebuild, would be mediocre fit in Sac maybe tho)
Thaddeus Young
David Lee
Omer Asik

Omer and Young I can rock with, even though they're making much more than Taj (I know Omer only has a year left). But I think you're devaluing Gibson and what he would bring to the table alongside Cousins. That would be a pretty dope front line that would fit well together. And Taj could start for many teams IMO, he was just behind Boozer here in Chicago, but if you watched Bulls games, you know he was always called in to close games out in crunch time.

I don't see why they would trade the 8th pick which could be Randle for ZBo... same goes for David Lee. Asik would be the best guy to pair with Cousins because of his defense. But honestly, Taj would fit in better than just about everybody you listed IMO.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
What would the Celtics be offering?

Not sure, but we have 10 first round picks in the next five years and a plethora of second rounders.

We have contracts to match up to anything, plus good youth... (Sullinger, Olynyk, Bradley, Green)

When push comes to shove, depending on how much Danny is willing to give up, he can outbid just about anybody.

The Kevin Love situation is between GS, Boston, and Chicago in my opinion. NY and LA can be appetizing to Kevin Love, but there's no way they have the assets to compete with the kind of deal the other teams can offer. LA has the 7th pick, and nothing else after that. NY has no draft picks.

Boston is such a wild card cause if Danny doesn't find a deal to his liking, he's just as likely to trade Rondo and go into even more of a rebuilding mode. He could end up making this team a top 4 team in the East this offseason or he can trade Rondo, Bradley (sign and trade), Green, whoever and go into even more of a youth movement, have another good draft next season, clear up all his contracts, and make a big splash in free agency next year.

Taj is on a good deal and he plays winning basketball. Solid defense, nice midrange, and he also unselfish. He is definitely a good fit next to cousins. If a veteran is what they want with the 8th pick, I say go for it:yeshrug:
