Brehs, can we all discuss where one Frederick Charles Freeman ranks among the very best players in the league?

He has pretty much everything you need: defense, average, power, clutch. He gotta be top 10 among position players.

hes a good first baseman nothing more. needs more power to hit that next level

I won't go so far as to rank him there just yet, but you're downplaying him. Lol at "just one year". He's only 24 years old and coming off a 5+ WAR season.

im not downplaying him, heyward was even better and he was 20, look at how :trash: he is now. we dont crown dudes after one season

I'm obviously not saying they are even close in terms of talent, but just pointing out the fallacy in his "one year" belief. I am in the Trout got robbed twice for the MVP crowd.

I think the salient point is that there are plenty of players who have had seasons like Freeman had and turned out to be less than great players. There are very few players who have ever had a season like Trout's rookie year.

But Freeman is a monster, fwiw.
