i thought it was at least 500 ft live.
"That's not right. When we come back here, we're going to bring a range-finder and we're going to get an accurate measurement on that ball," said Hamilton, the major leagues' home run leader. "That was the farthest ball I've ever seen hit. When you think about it, unless the wall is lying -- it says 387 to the wall, and 100 feet past that is 487. But the ball went another 100 feet past that. So I can't wait to come back here."
you're missing out on the gawd paul konerko then friend, he is truly a beastHe's in my "tune in and catch his plate appearance if I have free time" club.
Right now it's:
Votto
Tulo - but ony when he's in the groove, dude is too fvcking streaky
Cano - that swing is beautiful
Prince Fielder - I just like the dude, I know he's not the greatest or most interesting hitter
and of course JETER DA GAWD
EDIT: oh yeah, and Hamilton too.
Byron BuxtonIs anyone gonna start a MLB Amateur Draft thread for tomorrow? I have no clue about most of the dudes who might get selected.
That is now the longest HR hit this season at 484ft, overtaking Hafner's 481ft bomb.
Good trade....right now.
But you're selling low on Timmy and buying high on Sale. Very well may prove to be a huge W...but Sale's arm could fall of next week too.
That's very true, but I feel Timmy's arm has already fallen off. His velocity is down, his WHIP is disgusting and it seems like he has one terrible inning every start that he can't pitch out of.
Is Chris Sale's arm really that much of a liability? I don't know much about him other than he's having a career year thus far.
He had elbow soreness this year and they had him on close watch. MRI came back good....they say his throwing motion and number of sliders could be something to be concerned with long term in his career but right now...he gon cook for a while. So its all good.
Carl Pavano placed on 15-day dl with Right anterior capsular strain.
Had to deal with Mr Glass for 4 years.
