I clearly said they can't hit or field as good as their peers. When pitchers are forced to be as well rounded as other positional everyday players, I won't have problem. That's not going to happen when you have pitchers getting paid $20M to specifically throw from mound. Like I said, pitching in the majors is a specialized position in my humble opinion. There's no reason why a team has to suffer offensively because of it.

Every position is requires a certain level of skill. Hence why Cabrera is better at 1B than 3B, why a 2B would most likely be well below average at CF, and so on and so on. But they still hit. And the average salary of a first baseman is the highest of all positions at $9.5 million. Pitchers? $2.7 million. So your $20m argument means nothing to me since it's so rare. First baseman probably do the least of any position.
