The day Shaq plays against the competition Wilt played against is the day he leads the league in rebounds and blocks (and points and field goal percentage).
Oh look the weak era fallback argument again
Rebounding is effort, nevermind Wilt's volume of rebounds - his TRB% estimates throughout his career are second only to Dennis Rodman... Shaq's rebounding percentages on the other hand are way down the list.
Wilt Chamberlain
60 - 20.3
61 - 20.7
62 - 20.0
63 - 20.8
64 - 19.8
65 - 20.3
66 - 20.4
67 - 21.3
68 - 20.1
69 - 20.4
70 - 20.7
71 - 18.4
72 - 20.1
73 - 19.6
Career TRB%: 20.16
This ignoring that playing an avg of 46mpg would come at the cost of some rebounding% in place of the volume... playing that many minutes with that high of a percentage, while for most of his career being equally committed to offense is ridiculous. It is all about effort. Bill Russell is 3rd highest in TRB% on the all time list btw, only behind Wilt and Rodman and above the next best Moses Malone;
Bill Russell - 19.94
Moses Malone - 19.83
And Wilt grabbed 55 rebounds one game against Bill Russell. So how many rebounding titles would Shaq win back then against the 2nd and 3rd highest TRB% players of all time - and the highest volume rebounders of all time? Let's take a closer look at Shaq's TRB%'s;

Looks like he tried hard as a rookie with a Chamberlain-esq TRB% season (except at 10 less mpg, so he'd have had less volume)... then for the rest of his career he just flat out stops concentrating on rebounding because unlike Wilt he doesn't seem to be able to carry the load of rebounding while focused on scoring. Prime Shaq rebounds at about the same rate as 1970's Kareem... Kareem
always got outrebounded by Wilt. Looks like Shaq would too. Rebounding aint Shaqs game breh. And don't even get me started on their defense and shot blocking.
