what happens is well to do people start preparing their kids for college from the beginning, people that are not so well to do dont concern themselves with college (generally speaking)
so the question is how many black people start preparing their kids for college from day one, i would say not enough
the fact is you wrote essays about why college is not important, so what is the significance of the fact that the well to do get prepared for college? something that you say has nothing to do with success
you spit all that knowledge about not going to college now somebody post a stats that a top university has only 3% black students, why dont you spit that knowledge now about how college is a waste of time and money?
stop it, you dont know what you're talking about.
a well to do person is already a manager, exec, have a really good paying tech job, etc, etc.
something for the child to follow. vs some broke parent telling the child to do this or that. while the child feels like they are walking in the dark trying to find a light switch. how many kids are going to take the time to find that switch? not many. be realistic.
the lights are turned on for the well to do kids. thats why its not the same struggle.
then to boot, said broke kid is a child of a crack head, welfare recipient.
for him/her to change and hit the books hard even though he/she isnt of high intelligence(just average). it will take a miracle. its possible. but most likely a miracle will have to occur. a miracle wouldnt be a miracle if it happened every day. or at least we wouldnt call it that.
last but not least. you can get straight A's at Compton HIGH in the hood, and still Bomb on the SAT's. because the crap you were taught or NOT taught really. isnt enough to survive in the big leagues. your minor leaguer, trying to play in the big leagues. you aint ready. and it will take big leaguers to train you up personally so you can get there, survive, then actually DO WELL. once you get there.
thats the reality on the ground..
