The idea of getting to know him more is good, but could have been more about his athletic career and fighting, maybe that's to come.

They could have mentioned how he survived being shot during a bank robbery, his accomplishments being an athlete in the US Army, or his MMA career (which was better than Crock's). But instead they went with some goofy story about his sisters. They might eventually get to those topics but starting off with that story was a bad move.
