they did a great job of wipining bone thug/mo thug out the record books. we already knew the industry hated them tho. we saw it coming.

I remember when "dayz of our livez" hit the radio here, instantly #1 on the request shows right when the school year started. the perfect follow-up to crossroads/perfect set-up for "set it off".

reverend run coming out of semi-retirement with the double-time on "world so cruel" BEFORE BIGGIE did it.

mo thugs. SOULJAH BOY, TRE', ken dawg, the back of fat joe's head, the whole crew.

NWO :wow:
Bret and Shawn feud :wow:
Montreal screwjob :wow:
Watching WCW the 1st hour for the cruiserweights and then back and forth after:ahh:
Being lucky enough to have both the ps1 and n64 :damn:

the N64 and the montreal screwjob was the following school year.

I'm rockin wit you tho. I remember my bul had both the PS1 & N64. he got the N64 just for WCW World Tour.

but really tho, ECW was better than the WWF.
but yea, WCW was better than both. especially when it came to the NWO & the cruiserweights.

I thought Marbury & garnett were gonna be the next payton & kemp.:sadcam:

that '96 draft class was one of the goats. Marbury almost went #1 ahead of Iverson & all of em.

how was it a commercial failure?

independent street rap album that went gold and had one of the bigger rap singles of the year.
It didnt even go gold originally it sold like 400k, and jay was gonna quit rappin because it didnt sell like he thought it would with biggie, foxy and mary j all on it

ur right. Almost every year was live from the early 90's up until about the mid-00's, then it fell off.

ehh the 2000s was half-assed.

give me the '80s instead.

i thoroughly enjoyed the early 2000s and the mixtape scene of the early/mid '00s. but they were hit-or- miss eras as a whole. ESPECIALLY the mid-00s.

it was still an independent east coast street record breh

it did what it was supposed to.

its no accident that jay went to def jam a year later and wasted no time going platinum, despite dropping a clearly inferior album to reasonable doubt.

yea it was bigger than the music........which isn't necessarily a good thing.

but in pure spectator mode, it was the greatest chit.
