It is true that some folks exaggerate but to me it's understandable. When you're told your whole life your people were nothing but slaves to europeans, everything in this planet worth a damn was created by him and you contributed nothing to humanity you can't help but feel a little proud once you start reading about African/Black history.
It doesn't affect or bother me so I don't even try to correct them, I don't know why y'all get up in arms when hoteps say we invented everything, why do you feel you need to defend other groups' history like this? Some of you sound more offended than white folks themselves.

Really? Everything? We weren't even black or white for a majority of the time we've been a species. Knowledge and self respect are one thing but "we invented EVERYTHING" is flagrant ignorance. African scales and german noise junkies god fathered almost all of what is considered acceptable modern music. Black peoples pioneered hockey and white people made up basketballm I'm all for jokes about race and stereotypes in general but this who invented what shyt is a waste FOR THE MOST PART( not yelling, too lazy to go italics).
Black people have and do make great contributions to the human race. I have never heard a Lupe album, but known off him since like 2003 or so. Found three of his albums for very cheap at an FYE used bin. So I can't figure out any of this, don't know his music, or anything about him as a person.
He's always had a buzz, and won grammy's, so when I get time, I check the albums out, maybe see some interviews if the music rocks, then this will make sense.
