I'm very interested to see if/how 'black on black' crime will be tied into this.

The Boston Bombing was a major sporting event with constant coverage and already on watch for terrorist activity plus it didn't happen late.
And preemptively this isn't a shooting at an elementary school, this isn't tagged to a major block buster movie, and it isn't related to Islamic terrorists and a number of other buzz brining topics.
This is it's own possibly heavily racially motivated event and should be treated as such.
If there's anything you want to scrutinize about the response to this shooting from the media and fellow civilians you should wait until tomorrow to judge fully.

I feel now how I felt during everyone of the recent shooting tragedies that have happened over the past 10-15 years.

I don't need the media to validate my reaction to any given situation. But... they mind-rape the masses into thinking one situation is more 'tragic' than the other. Been going on for 60 years.

We all know how this will be covered.
