I can see your comprehension is lacking... November 2021 is when he fought Porter.. Porter had been mandated for many months leading up to that fight. What he's saying is if that fight fell through he woulda fought Aveneysean as the last fight on his TR contract as a backup.
SINCE Nov 2021 after TKOing Porter he left TR AFTER the Porter fight.. From that point he was looking to face Spence while Spence was wasting more time looking to face someone else instead of going into negotiations with the big fight with Bud... And he was dead set on facing Spence next in 2022 thats why he hadn't taken another fight until now in Dec because Spwnce side was bullshytting

You're implying Bud was looking to face Aveneysian next the whole time which is silly AF.. Because if that was the case he would just faced Avenysian Much earlier this year.. Avenysion is simply a backup plan in case the fight he trying to get doesn't get made.. Which is whats happening now since Spence is crying about making weight and Floyd came out 3 weeks ago saying :"as of now the fights not happening, maybe sometime down the future" Bud already told these people if they not trying to fight in 2022 then he will take nother fight in 2022.. Bud did what he said he was gonna do. Isn't that yall favorite catchphrase for Spence doing what he said he was gonna do which is stall this fight out for years chasing an imaginary side of the street? You questioning Bud now? Real fans that have been following the situation has been questioning Spence since 2018...

And so we're quoting Bob now? cool

When did I imply he was next the entire time? And you have the audacity to mention someone's lack of comprehension. I said TWICE that this guy was in Bud's back pocket. Meaning, this was always a card he was gonna play when he needed to. And that's exactly what he did. You're too caught up trying to spin, that even the managers own words are being discounted for your own narrative. And you posed the question that all of us have been asking....if you needed a tune up, why not fight earlier with a guy that you've already had in your pocket since 2021 and only took 48 hours to negotiate with this go round? You're being disingenuous on purpose. Spence had the Manny fight, had to pull out, came back and fought the winner of the fight he already had on his docket. Now you're using Spence taking the Ugas fight as some kinda proof that Spence didn't want to fight Bud after his TR deal was up? It's clear that you have an agenda you wanna stick with, and that's cool.

So if you're not trying to imply that then what is your issue with him fighting this opponent as a backup in case the fight he's pushing for doesn't pan out?? :jbhmm:... Why do you have an issue with him taking a tuneup NOW in Dec 2022 vs early and Mid Dec 2022 while he was still set on making a fight with Spence THIS YEAR.. You could ONLY be implying that Bud never had intentions of facing Spence and was looking to fight Avenysan next... Bud obviously didn't need a tuneup if he felt he was gonna get the Spence fight in 2022 THIS YEAR vs in 2023NEXT YEAR where Spence who is now crying about making weight wants the fight to be set at "Further down the future" As his boss Floyd put it...

Spence had the Manny fight yet claimed he was chasing belts "strap season right"? Ugas was the SUper WBA champ and Manny was only the Regular. so I guess Spence was gonna push the fight with Bud back another year fighting Pacquiao then Ugas right according to him he wanted Bud last(to age him out).. Spence didn't have to fight Ugas.. They didn't have to pay Stanionis step aside money. Spence could have entered negotiations with Bud who was a free agent but chose not to.. Spence vs Ugas was in no way shape or form a fight fans were clamoring for.. Its clear to anybody who's not a Spence ball gobbler that there was ZERO urgency to make a fight with Bud.. Its a clear duck

Huh? Make it make sense, bro. My point is, Bud hasn't fought since Nov 2021. If he knew he needed a tune up fight, why wait until contracts are being drawn up and sent to schedule the tune up when you had an entire year to get it out of the way? This guy has been a back up plan and a tune up fight (his manager in the video even said Bud is treating his fighter like a tuneup option) since at least October 2021. It took all of 48 hours to make it happen this go round. So when did Bud decide he needed a tune up? Over the weekend?

And it's wild seeing you try your best to crap on Ugas being a viable option for Spence, but ignoring this David guy being an option for Bud for an entire year. I'm trying my best to have decent boxing dialog and pimp past the sophomoric "ball gobbler" nonsense, but it's clear you're more concerned with being right than being logical. The harsh reality is, if the Porter fight didn't go thru, Bud wasn't looking at an opponent fans were clamoring for him to fight. However, fans were definitely more interested in Spence fighting the guy that beat Manny and now in possession of a belt. I haven't seen anyone hate on that fight until now when trying to justify Bud bailing on negotiations for a tuneup fight.

I bet prior to this announcement, you've never even typed this guy's name in your entire time on this message board. And yet, you're trying to crap on Ugas name.

I just clearly explained to you why he's taking this fight now. Again your comprehension is lacking... He didn't need a tuneup for a Spence fight that happens in 2022.. For a Spence fight in 2023 he does.. :what: What part about that dont you understand?
s
Theres's been "viable options" for Spence since he won the belt.. The issue is the main fight people are demanding is Spence to face Crawford Not Spence vs a "viable option"... Not Ugas.. Not a 42 yr old Regualar title holder PAcquio.. Not Danny Garcia.. Not a 135 Mikeyt Garcia.. Not Porter.. Spence claimed he rather take an easy route instead of Crawford. Thats our issue.. Its October 2022 and now Spence is crying about making weight and his boss Floyd 3 weeks ago said there is no fight as of now.. Maybe sometime down the future lol.. At this point how could anyone question why Crawford is fighting a tuneup?

Well #1. Terence Crawford isn't Hagler... #2, refer back to #1.. nikka imagine Sugar Ray Leonard telling Hearn he rather take an easy route and needs to milk an imaginary side of the street 1st
Bud already informed those people that he was fighting in 2022 regardless and they chose to drag their feet and attempt to push the fight back to 2023.. So while Bud is cleaning up his side of the street(something Spence claimed he had to do for the past 4-5years) Spence can either wait while Bud collects this 8 figure payday and get a shot at undisputed or he can drop his belts and take his bytch ass up to 154 since he now crying about making weight.. Spence should focus on whether he will even have a network to fight on in 2023. Let him know BLK Prime is taking applications :heh:

Damn bro, did Spence do something to you? Those same viable options were available to Bud when Spence was laid up recovering TWICE. You really going hard on a guy that decides to fight other champions, but ain't even uttered a choice word about Bud and his fight choices. Bud don't blow up between fights, stays in the gym with Shakur and Keyshawn, has been fighting once a year for like the last three years, no injuries or brutal slugfest to recover from.....and you're still finding ways to excuse this "tune-up" fight?!?!

This interview after Shakur fight in September starting to look more and more funny in the light. It was odd how defensive he was from the get go about being asked about his fight. Now I'm starting to think he knew what he had up his sleeve and didn't want to either say it then, or being on record saying something false about the Spence negotiation.

Crawford been talking funny a long time..when he let Arum dog him out saying he bombed..it looked horrible. Optics wise.
