Conservative black people like to pretend this isn't a big deal. They keep saying black social issues can't be compared to LGBTQ+ issues but guess what, black people and LGBTQ folks will always be discriminated against by the entire world. People don't have to like each other but you're a dummy if you actively promote against someone's basic human rights.
The trans shyt broke people's brains now they're going for everything.

Of course I support gay marriage etc, but the trans issue is where like 90% of people hop off.

Partially agree, let me rephrase

They trojan horsing by pushing Anti-LGBTQ+ shyt that even black people sometimes agree with, while planning to use the same methods to come back to their #1 targets - us
There’s no way to spin it logically for them. Because they’ll spin it back to some anti liberal “dems don’t like us anyways” talking point. They’ll never directly address what was presented in the OP. Or they’ll spin it as a positive for black couples because it’ll keep black ppl marrying “in the race”.

Not sure what is being questioned here. I clearly don't believe in segregation, but selected passages of the Bible have been used as religious "justification" for all types of things throughout the history of this country. The Old Testament in particular can be cherrypicked to "justify" treatment, behavior, attitudes about groups other than the group(s) being covered.
Anybody who sat through years of Sunday School or Church can remember the names of the rival groups.

It's irrelevant, was just pointing out to the other member that the "we don't marry Philistines" playbook was old.

All you said is correct. I really was just pointing out that the people in the old testimony DID marry philistines, cannanites and etc. People just don't want to dive into the reason why it was forbidden.

When I drove through Tennessee and saw that gigantic rebel flag hanging from a big ass pole on the side of the highway that was enough for me to know I could never live in that state :scusthov:

Come to Florida, we have one right as you pass Sarasota on your way to Tampa. After you pass the flag you into a big ass cross by the highway. Im not lying :mjlol:

Basically bill is designed to where it seems to be targeting LGBTQ+, but gives freedom to deny anyone. What you think Billy Bob gonna do when a black and white couple walks in?

:manny: I keep telling y'all these anti-LGBTQ pushes are republicans phase 1 and we're literally next. Anti-LGBTQ shyt on Monday will be anti-black shyt on Wednesday. Y'all need to get over what people do in the privacy of their bedrooms, shyt isnt a game

this is about giving people the freedom to discriminate based on their religious beliefs ("no, it's against my religion."). not about making interracial or gay marriage or whatever marriage illegal.

it was talking to progressive women AND hearing from gay people themselves that the trans issue is too far for them.

Same here. Gay people usually just want to go about their lives with their partners and not be ridiculed.. Take part in the same rights straight people have also. And to be honest, im at the point where I'd take a gay couple adopting a child versus a f*cked up heterosexual couple raising a child. And heterosexual couples can be so stupid and ignorant, that they would rather point out the gay part, versus acknowledging the toxic environment SOME straight parents put their kids in.. Which create more toxic humans in the world. Its a balance that people don't want to discuss.

Even if @Samori Toure is half right, after 1862, ending slavery was one of the primary goals of the Union and the Republican Party (ie Thaddeus Stevens) because they wanted to destroy ‘Slave Power’ (the nexus of constitutional advantages in Congress, agro-export of cotton, tobacco, indigo, sugar, and the expansion of slavery into the western territories - the political power of the Southern White Planter Class…George Washington’s people) forever.
The big problem for him is his entire argument falls apart when the confederacy openly admits in their articles of confederation that they're fighting to keep slavery. If the Union wasn't fighting them over slavery, apparently the confederates didn't get that message. How can anyone make an argument that the war wasn't over slavery when it's literally written in their constitution that they're fighting to keep :heh:
