My nikka I don't need a civics class. We know all this. The point we are making is they been going fukk the laws. We have a man that is a convicted felon and he attempted to overthrow our government as the current president.

Once again we are operating on the assumption that the rules and laws currently in place to prevent this will not be observed for one reason or another.
So really, what it is, is that you like to be scared. He does not have the power to over-ride the powers of Congress. You act like he is some unstoppable being, when his first time as president he was unable to do much but stupid crap.

So please, explain to us why that now he is the President, the Constitution is no longer in effect? If you can't, then really all you want to do is peddle fear instead of looking at the situation critically and figuring out what can really be done to stop him from gaining more power. You know, like campaigning to help gain more Democrats in the Senate and House.

Either way he's going to try to stay after 4 years.
Why he has full immunity this time?

It’s hogwash that won’t pass. They don’t have the numbers. They don’t nearly have the numbers. It would be easier for them to just say “no more elections”.

If anything I think it’s hilarious he worded it in a way to make it that Obama couldn’t run against Trump.

Because he wants to be a dictator. Also he doesn't have full immunity. Some of these state prosecutors are going to try to come after him again.
Once again I doubt it. It’s too much work to change the constitution. If he was going to do that he might as well just say “no more elections”, and hope he isn’t disposed immediately.

Jesus Christ :snoop:
Proposing an amendment
  • Two-thirds of both houses of Congress can vote to propose an amendment

  • Two-thirds of state legislatures can ask Congress to call a Constitutional Convention to propose amendments
Ratifying an amendment

    • Three-fourths of state legislatures can approve an amendment
    • Three-fourths of state ratifying conventions can approve an amendment

America has one of the hardest requirement to changing their constitution and/or making an amendment around the world. So, yeah Trump wants to be a dictator, but it won’t be done constitutionally. He would have to nut up and just declare no more elections. In which case I am assuming the country splits almost immediately into either 2 countries or maybe 3. That is all more realistic than Trump getting a constitutional amendment to allow him to run a third term.

Do you guys like to be scared about non-issues? I ask, because this is a non-issue. The numbers in the Senate and the House are not there, so the admendment change would not even make it to the states for a ratification vote. So why wast time speculating and worrying about something that at the moment has no chance of happening?
Bruh it's not about being scared. Right now nikkas just on a message board speculating, ya know getting some convo going.

There's plenty of things that we American citizens thought we would never see prior to 9/11. Prior to 2019. Prior to 2024 when a guy with felonies is elected President.

If these times are showing anything, it's that anything is possible. The same limitations on Presidency we're discussing, I'm sure Trump and his supporters are or have discussed and bounced them around with people alot smarter than us.

He can suggest it, but it would need to be ratified by the states for the change to go through.

It's not clear to me that the people would go against Trump if he suspended the constitution. He literally declared a national emergency because of an "invasion".

1) The Press been p-footing around the Conservatives as long as I've been watching the news. The mainstream media stay on that fair and balanced.

If you're watching the press like I am, they were pissed about Biden and his preemptive pardons. Like Biden was the problem.

2) The Democrats have been telling us to trust the process, trust the system, since at least the civil rights era.

Who does that leave? Nobody from the Coli is gonna sign up for a militia....

No, so many are showing fear too. Also, this propensity to incessantly discuss or complain about non-issues leads no where, but increases in fear responses. They all have access to the internet, so this ignorance on how our country actually works is unacceptable to me.

You all can do what you want, as is your right. I am just pointing out that the solutions do not recide in the actions being taken. This is a board of many intelligent and knowledgeable Black men and women. I think we could be coming up with ideas that would be far more helpful in alleviating the circumstances of our people under this new President, than to focus on his declarations and the declarations of his supporters that have no chance of occuring. There is no reason to fear any of this, if the Democrats do their jobs and people get out there and campaign to help pull the ratio between the Parties in a more favourable stance.

Declaring a national emergency about illegals is not the same as suspending the Constitution. They are not even on the same level and no the people would not stand for that in mass. Instead, he would create a Civil War.
