Growing up there, I didn't know black men were different than men from elsewhere until I left. The thirst to be viewed as a tough guy is so strong unlike other place I've been. I've heard Chicago is the other place in America that is like it but I haven't seen it.

Could you elaborate on this comment because it's not the first time I've heard this. If this is true then why is there such a different mentality up north as opposed to down here where racism is more overt and in your face? Wouldn't it makes since that given the more liberal view on race relations in the northeast dudes would be less inclined to adopt such a hostile attitude? I'm from the southeast btw.
man the north is not liberal when it comes to race relations at all. Its more segregated up north, and a lot of the whites up there (all those irish, italians and polish people) are still racist as hell.
Maybe the West is has liberal race relations but then again you have a bunch of white supremacist groups out west and you have to deal with racist Mexicans.

This shyt has been around for a good minute. About two or three years ago when I was living in the St. Louis area, some dumb ass kids in STL did this to some old Asian man and ended up killing him. I don't know what ended up happening to the kids, but I hope those lil' b*stards ended/end up getting locked up for a long time.
