Facts. Like you can definitely pull some songs from albums from 2010-11 and put them on an album in 2018 and people wouldn't know the difference

Put a song from 87-88 on a 1995-1996 album and it would sound so out of place.
That's true but it's also obvious from the construction of a product life cycle, when shyt it's in its infancy it first grows slowly them comes the growth period when shyt takes off. That was 86 to the end of the golden age. There was a lot of "low hanging fruit", now that it's mature it gets harder and harder to do something new.

Just like the computer, smartphone, other genres, movies, science etc. Back in the days scientists created computers now smarter people make a computer go 1% faster.

One lil piece of advice, you gotta listen to their shyt too.

And with the same open mind that you would want them to give the music you're putting them on.

:salute:

Another piece of advice is to avoid nastradamous because it's way more accessible now then it was back then.

My nephew annoys me with this joint

I wanna see him do
UGK Ridin Dirty era
Scarface Diary era, or old school Geto Boys for that matter
Three 6 Mafia When The Smoke Clears era, or Project Pat Ghetty Green era
I'd love to see him react to the Pimp C verse from Sippin on Some Sizzurp
Some old Doe or Die and/or Twista

But above all else, I wanna see his reaction to ATLiens or Aquemini tracks.

I'm laughing thinking of him hearing Jada or Camron for the first time. The charisma is going to be overwhelming

The generational disconnect is crazy though.

Nikka said he don't even know how Nas sounds :dahell:

shyt brazy breh

but lil nikka getting put on game fr fr
Low key think he gassing it :pachaha:

I know he seen Belly that shyt get so much reruns on the Viacom channels

I know he seen them Nas Hennessy commercials

Nas narrated the Get Down and that was a big show on Netflix with his gen. Nas was on a Khaled album and it don't get more mainstream than that.

How old is breh? :wow:

I wonder if he done any Jay videos? Reasonable Doubt will blow his mind. :damn:

Not denying it could be an age thing. Perception of things differ when you're older as oppose to as a kid.

But it definitely feels like the music has been more or less in the same realm for the last 7 years. Like I said differences for sure, but not the differences I noticed back then.
Man I feel like you speaking directly to me. I was in the whip today driving from work blasting Mesmerized by Wiz Khalfia. As I’m driving, I’m thinking to myself

:ohhh:Man this shyt sound like it coulda came out yesterday and it’s still fresh AF, but the song is 8 years old:mindblown:
