question though. If you trying to teach someone younger about hip hop, do you start by region, decade, or type of rap(conscious, gangsta, etc)

Bizzy's verse is one of the illest verses I've ever heard in my life..

most definitely... should have its own thread if it doesn't already... I still cant understand how he did it... based on bones old rep I just picture him channeling some spirits on the ouija board and just hopping in the booth possessed..

I gotta say - this dude has the best reaction videos I've ever seen. I typically avoid reaction stuff because it's corny but young dude isn't a square and clearly has love for the genre.

Proving what I've been saying - an amazing song is an amazing song. Period. Any young cat who says they can't relate to older rap and don't see how hard/clever the shyt was don't give a fukk about hip hop at all.

The crazy shyt is the gap between that LL video and 2Pac's run was only 7 years, but it seems like two different lifetimes

The difference between 2011 and 2018 Hip Hop is there but it's very miniscule by comparison.

back then, literally the entire sound changed and shifted every 2 years.

that's why the typical "hip hop evolved, bro" comments when trying to avoid how wack this shyt has become are pathetic and hilarious. The genre BEEN stagnant. The idea that we're still bouncing sorta the same way we did in 2018 as we did in 2011 is ridiculous. Hip hop's not moving nearly as fast as it used to. But that's what happens when shyt becomes pop. Innovation decreases and repetition increases.
