And for the second part, nah, he's 20-35 years removed from these songs. I can't tell the difference between movies made in the 50s or 60s. Some of that shyt just intertwines. You really got to put yourself in the kids head.
People on here sometimes forget how rare a breed we are. We are rap nerds. We live, eat, breathe this shyt. So to us all these songs are like starter kit songs. But for the average person, even big rap fans, may know rappers but they don't know their catalog like that. Especially rappers 20 year before their time.
I think people would be shocked what nikkas haven't heard. Joe BadAss on his podcast a month ago said he's still never heard Doggstyle or the Chronic. Vince Staples said never heard a 2Pac or Nas album, never heard the whole Chronic in his life.
