The year 3030
pretty good

nice soundtrack

believe it or not, this is a prominent track :mjlol:

(clean version, of course)

some :dwillhuh: stuff..

guess it's too early to call it but Bebop/Rocksteady, leatherhead, etc were good guys

I'm guessing they'll turn somehow in the sequel, especially since the mid creds scene....

SHREDDER!!!!!!

i needa revisit the 07 one but I LOVED the spideyverse/comic style this one had.

Cube was dope and there were times you just know he wanted to say cuss words in the cube way, but couldn't cause it's a kids movie :russ:

least he was able to include some Ice-T lyrics :heh:

overall a dope ass TMNT movie

I ended up watching this today, I was pretty excited to watch it and caught a sneak peek early viewing. Didn't really know what to expect but man...

:banderas:

It's my 3rd favorite TMNT movie, it might be in my top 2. It was a nice take on the tmnt verse that wasn't a just a origin story and not just a "reboot".

Rating

10/10

It basically took spiderverses blueprint and applied it to tmnt.

Voice acting was 10/10
Animation was great
Charisma between the turtles was great
action was great

I highly recommend it

It was pretty good. 7/10. Not as funny as it should have been with the talent involved. Animation was cool. Looking forward to the sequel to be much better.

Just got back from it. Had a blast.

Theater was surprisingly packed for a Tuesday night. Hopefully that bodes well for its box office. The budget is apparently in the $80-90 million range, so it shouldn't be too hard for it to turn a profit. If it bombs I'm blaming Ice Cube. :pacspit:

For being the co-writer and producer I was glad Seth Rogen didn't pull a Taika Watiti and give himself too many lines. Him and John Cena as Bebop and Rocksteady aren't actually utilized that much in the story. Paul Rudd got more lines as Mondo Gecko. :heh:

For a movie so entrenched in New York hip-hop I'm surprised they cast Ice Cube of all people as the villain. It would have made more sense to cast somebody like Diddy or Method Man or Busta Rhymes or some shyt. Matter fact, fukk Ice Cube. Just rerecord all his lines with any of them. Just burn all the recordings of Ice Cube as Superfly. :pacspit:

The one niptick I have with this film is
the portrayal of Splinter. Surprisingly this version of him is just a random New York City street rat, with no relation (as far as we know) to Hamato Yoshi. Makes me wonder why a NY street rat would sound like Jackie Chan. :mindblown:

Also, with the way the tease Shredder in the mid-credits scene, will he be in any way related to Oroku Saki or will he just be some dude? :patrice:
