Same. I pretty much juked the recession by graduating in 2011. I want to say it's hard to believe we're at that level, but the amount of people in my circle that have been out of work for 3+ months now is crazy. Definitely never seen anything like this.

Prob gonna use this weekend to sharpen my resume again lol.

According to the website I've only done 23 this year, because I mostly use these two services:

If I can find a leetcode problem on one of those, I'll use that platform instead since I like the explanations way better.

I wonder how the work in the Geospatial data field is, I always hear people talk about coding; usually OOPS related but never anything GIS.

Dope. I've been using the neetcode website this year too. I never liked the algo expert dude on YouTube he always came off as incompetent.

How are your merit increases this year? I ended up getting a 3% increase. To put in reference I turned down a role that would get me closer to 20% because I didnt find the role as interesting and it wasn't in AI which I believe it's going to be a huge upshot in the near future which will afford me larger opportunities.

I've been at the role for a year though so I say I can work here another year and assess things. My boss said he wish he could give me more and I'm at the higher range of my merit increase compares to my team this year.

The goal this year is to campaign for a promotion, build my network by going to more conferences, and code more to get more visibility. The life of tech sales

I should add more context here.

My current role has a better work-life balance. I work remote, my manager doesn't micro manage me, and I have room to learn more in this role. Plus I have a very supportive boss, a brother, so that is something that is invaluable for me right now given my last role. I just get treated well at this company and that says a lot.

I do want more money at the end of the day though so I will work to put myself in certain rooms, places, etc. Just posting more content on my LinkedIn has given me more visibility.

I always choose the role that's going to challenge me and increase my skills. When you're good at what you do and actually "like that", you'll always eventually get paid on the back end.
