The field is already sum hot :trash: but it's about to get even uglier....

This also happened back in 2013 when thousands of Federal contractors were laid off. It destroyed the job market in any city with a huge Federal presence. But the IT job market is much worse now.

Just continues to get more and more spooky out here
I'm sure working for the government was a lot of peoples back up plan since it used to be stable and not at risk to offshoring or visa workers. Now that's not even an option
I was recently considering getting security clearance through my job (they can put you through the process) and all the recent developments has me completely falling back on that idea

:scusthov:
I just hope the public sector survives because that's getting dangerously close to yah boy and his field of work.

I really DON'T want to have to hit the ground running if the place I work at gets hit with funding/budget cuts because of Elon's fukkery.

:lupe: @JT-Money are we here yet
We still haven't seen the peek of jobs going overseas yet. Each Quarter more Americans get disappeared at companies. And that same job role mysteriously appears overseas. But not enough to trigger any layoff WARN notices. We only hear about the Big Layoffs but smaller ones happen everyday. I'm definitely trying to get out of the field this year.

Salesforce, Workday Are Hiring More Overseas to Save Cash

Salesforce Inc. and Workday Inc. are simultaneously cutting jobs and highlighting the cost savings from adding workers internationally.

“Do we need to hire everybody in San Francisco?” Salesforce Chief Operating Officer Brian Millham said at an event hosted by Barclays Plc in December. “Or can we think about other locations that are cheaper where we can get really incredible labor like India and Mexico City.”

US-based employees at Salesforce dropped to 51% from 58% in the four years ending in January 2024. In early 2023, it announced a reduction of roughly 8,000 jobs. Earlier this week, Bloomberg reported that the San Francisco-based software company would cut more than 1,000 positions in large part to make room for new AI-focused hiring.

This new generation has no self awareness. Getting laid off is tough...but posting your personal business online is about as dumb as it gets.

If she does not find another job, we know why. :snoop:

Clout is a hell of a drug
Desperate times call for desperate measures. These companies need to be put on blast to awaken the rest of the public.
