A lot of black men in tech don't have the bandwidth to take time away from their "work" to participate for DEI initiatives.
+ Not too many black men in DEI, non-tech people operations/HR roles
Aka straight black men be working real jobs in tech.
My brother got an internal transfer from Google Pay to Gemini. I am looking to make an internal transfer to the AI research team from SWIFT but it's like trying to fit on a Mumbai passenger train. Very competitive.
I hope he can be a worthwhile contributor because boy does Gemini suck.
Yeah he told me they are catching hell from their stakeholders (Android). They are scrambling to fix a lot of bugs.
