It took me a while to come to this conclusion as well. I am no longer the ooey gooey excuse-making bleeding heart liberal that I was 13 years ago. We are at the point where we are all tapped out. The black ghetto has received more than its fair share of lectures, funding, donations, set aside privileges etc...enough is enough already. I am at the point of leaving them to their own devices. If the good poor blacks want want to join us, then they are more than welcome to build themselves up and get with the program. But I have completely wiped my hands clean and have drawn a line in the sand.

Truth be told, this woman did her best Bill Cosby impression. He's been saying the same things for years now.

At some point, you look beyond the shared skin color and begin to identify the negative characteristics that separate you from the ghetto trash. You're acting as if it is the suburban black's fault that he or she happened to be born into circumstances favorable to their survival. I hate cacs, but I'm not going to pretend that I don't appreciate coming from a two patent home of upper middle class blacks that stressed education and civilized culture instead of c00nery.

For the most part, I agree with Kermit, but you have to realize that there are a lot of good, hard working people in the ghetto. In no way, do I want to leave them behind and forget about them. On the other hand, I am done with the faction of people who contribute nothing but stupidity and ignorance. It's like a disease that spreads and infects the minds of black kids. Continually making excuses for this trash is only having a detrimental effect on blacks as a whole.

both of my parents are black. my mom is "half/half," but she's a proud sister. i'm not planning the destruction of the black masses. i'm arguing that the empowerment of the black middle class can only happen if we come to terms with the irreparable state of ghetto black america and finally pull away from them. those people can't be saved. let's focus on our successes and build from there.
